The History of Rich Kramer Construction

Rich Kramer Construction has its roots in the small family operated construction company started in the early 1930's by Louis Kramer, the grandfather of Rich Kramer, and a carpenter by trade, who started the business to support his current and future family.

The business continued to grow in size and expertise in Iowa for many years before being relocated in 1991 to Springfield, Missouri by Rich Kramer and his father, Charles, and brother Bob. Rich had worked in this area with other companies for several years since moving to Springfield in the early 1980's.

The strong client base in Springfield made this area an attractive choice for relocation, and Rich Kramer's contacts and previous reputation were instrumental in allowing the new company to quickly establish a market presence, primarily in steel erection and the sale and installation of pre-engineered metal buildings.

In May of 2002 RKC moved into its new three-building complex on North Miller Road in western Springfield, signifying its commitment to the Springfield and southwest Missouri area.

Rich Kramer Construction has become one of the major construction companies in the Springfield area and looks forward to continued growth by serving its expanding customer base and providing high-quality and personalized construction and general contracting services.
